Welcome to
Faculty of Amman College
On behalf of Amman University College for Administrative and Financial Sciences – Al-Balqa Applied University, we warmly welcome you to this esteemed academic institution. We take great pride in its mission and believe in its vital role in serving the nation and uplifting individuals.
Amman University College was established in 1953 as the first of its kind for higher education in Jordan under the name Teachers House (Dar Al-Muallimeen). In 1965, the name was changed to Teachers' Institute, and later in 1981, it became Amman Community College. In 1997, the college became part of Al-Balqa Applied University and was renamed Amman University College for Financial and Administrative Sciences
It is my pleasure to extend a heartfelt welcome to all our esteemed faculty members, dear students, and honored guests to our distinguished college, which has always been, and continues to be, a source of pride and honor for all who are part of it.
In alignment with the university’s vision, the college adopts a vision centered on leadership in applied education, innovation, and strong ties to the local and regional labor markets. This supports our mission to prepare highly qualified graduates capable of keeping pace with modern demands and the rapid economic and digital transformations.
The college has made great efforts to enhance institutional identity and academic excellence by developing educational programs, ensuring high-quality outcomes in line with accreditation and quality assurance standards, and supporting applied scientific research—especially in its master's programs in Accounting, Business Administration, and Finance. Additionally, we offer bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Information Systems, and Business Administration, along with specialized new programs like Logistics and “Business Intelligence.
To better align educational outcomes with labor market needs, our academic programs have witnessed remarkable development in both content and results. We have updated curricula, integrated e-learning, and emphasized practical skills to meet the demands of the digital economy. We also support diploma programs in specialized fields such as: E-Marketing, Logistics Support, Fintech, Customs and Tax Sciences, and Business Intelligence. Our students have achieved outstanding results in the comprehensive national exam.
We are also proud of our strategic partnerships with prestigious national institutions such as the Amman Stock Exchange, the Securities Commission, the Logistics Syndicate, and others. The college has established a stock market simulation lab to train students in a real-world financial market environment.
Research and innovation lie at the heart of the college’s priorities. We actively support applied research, form specialized research teams, and focus on contemporary topics such as financial entrepreneurship, digital transformation, governance, and sustainability.
Academically, the number of published research papers in reputable local and international journals has increased significantly. Our faculty and students have actively participated in scientific conferences and seminars, contributing to the colleges and the university’s rising global rankings and academic reputation. We also take pride in our students’ contributions to innovative projects and initiatives that reflect their ambition and excellence.
Our students are keen on academic distinction and extracurricular engagement, as shown through their active participation in various competitions at local, regional, and international levels. They have competed in academic, cultural, innovative, and entrepreneurship events, showcasing high-level skills and a strong competitive spirit.
Among their notable achievements are top ranks and prestigious awards in several competitions, reflecting the quality of education and training they receive and the continued support from our academic and administrative staff. These accomplishments are a source of pride for the university and a motivation to further develop programs that nurture leadership and creativity in our students.
These engagements and successes not only elevate the university’s reputation but also shape well-rounded students, boost their self-confidence, and prepare them to compete in the job market and contribute effectively to building their nation’s future. Examples include participation in the KPMG Competition, the 12th National Technology Parade with the Participation of 22 Jordanian Universities, where students won third place, and the Balqa Green Innovation Hackathon organized by the Irada Initiative.
On the ethical front, the college is committed to instilling values of integrity, transparency, and active citizenship by encouraging involvement in community initiatives and entrepreneurial projects. We also organize impactful events such as medical days and academic and career fairs, which provide students with opportunities to connect with companies from various sectors. Over the past two years, more than 40 workshops and training sessions have been held.
In line with Jordan’s national vision, the college contributes to national development through distinctive initiatives and academic programs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We believe that motivation and inspiration are among the most powerful tools for change. Our vision is inspired by the words of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein – may God protect him – who believes in the potential of youth, stating:
Youth are the knights of change, and with them, nations are built.
At Amman College, we believe in our students' abilities and are committed to empowering them to become leaders in their fields, proactive members of their communities, and proud ambassadors of Al-Balqa Applied University. Dear students, you are the hope of the future, and upon you, our aspirations rest. Be as we know you—ambitious, diligent, and firm believers that knowledge and education are the best paths for building nations and advancing societies.
Welcome to your college… a home of leadership and knowledge, and a cradle of ambition and achievement
