Faculty of Ajloun College
Ajloun University College was established in 1964 as the Ajloun Teachers’ Institute, originally affiliated with the Ministry of Education. In 1980, it transitioned into a community college, known as Ajloun Girls’ Community College. By 1985, the college came under the umbrella of the Ministry of Higher Education. In 1997, following a royal decree establishing Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), the college became part of BAU under the name Ajloun University College. In 2011, the college evolved from a women’s college into a coeducational university college.
The college is committed to aligning its programs with the current demands of the workforce. In pursuit of this mission and vision, and in alignment with the overarching goals of BAU to produce highly qualified graduates in applied fields that meet market needs, the college offers a variety of bachelor’s, and associate’s degrees. Ajloun University College is composed of six academic departments: Applied Sciences, Basic Sciences, Educational Sciences, Social Sciences, English Language, and Financial and Administrative Sciences. These departments work collectively to achieve the college’s strategic vision, mission, and goals.
