The Arabic language program was launched in the second semester of the academic year (2002/2003) under the title Applied Arabic Language and was affiliated with the Department of Basic Sciences. In the academic year 2026/2027, the Department of Arabic Language and Literature was established as one of the main academic departments at Princess Alia University College. The department seeks to advance the Arabic language towards a knowledge society, meet the needs of the local and Arab labor markets, and keep pace with the global interest in learning Arabic and teaching its sciences and literature in foreign universities and institutes.
