Achievements

The Department takes pride in a distinguished record of academic, scholarly, and community achievements, the most notable of which include:


  • Established Bachelor’s programs in Giftedness and Creativity, Special Education, and Psychological and Educational Counseling.
  • Established Master’s programs in Special Education (Giftedness and Creativity; Learning Difficulties) and in Educational Psychology.
  • Established an Associate Diploma program in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Participated in national and international academic conferences.
  • Delivered specialized lectures and workshops in service of the local community.
  • Published peer-reviewed research in the fields of psychology, counseling, and special education.
  • Published specialized academic books and reference works.
  • Secured funding for collaborative research from the Scientific Research Support Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Obtained academic accreditation for the Bachelor’s programs in Psychological and Educational Counseling and in Special Education, and for the Master's program in Educational Psychology.
