Department of Managerial Information Systems
The department of MIS was established in 2003. The program of the managerial information systems draws on tools, techniques, and concepts of different areas of study; such as, computer sciences and managerial sciences. The department enhances and improves its programs systematically to fulfil the needs of local and international job markets. Therefore, it appoints highly- qualified academic staff members who are committed to prepare students to the job market and to succeed at their jobs on the long term. Our graduates are highly- qualified and they are ready to apply their knowledge in the business organizations, to analyse business operations, and to integrate information systems with the other departments of the different business organizations.
Dr. Manar Reyad Maraqa
The program of MIS is a strong business curriculum which combines skills and the required technical skills to compete in the field of business which increasingly depends on knowledge. Our graduates can help organizations succeed and grow through bridging the gap between the requirements of work and solutions based on technology. MIS provides administration with the appropriate information at the appropriate time to make decisions competently and effectively.
MIS program covers the study of technology which uses information process inside systems/ organizations and via organizations, including analysis and design, managing data and providing updated information to different administrative levels. Depending on what has been introduced, the graduates of the program, whether they work in business management related fields or information technology jobs, play a vital role in connecting users of both specializations: management and information technology.

The department’s main aim is to stay up to date on the top of the emerging technology and to guarantee the maintenance of providing job field with distinctive and qualitative graduates who best compete in markets; by using modern academic trends and following up on the scientific research.
Objectives
Preparing highly- qualified cadres in the specialization of managerial information systems.
Fulfilling the needs of the local and Arab markets in the field of information technology use and programs and their application in serving managerial business.
Enhancing the use of information technology and offering labs, study halls, computers, and the necessary requirements for teaching students.
Giving students practical experience by training them in different companies to get to know the various work environments where they can work after graduation.
