About the Faculty

The Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Research was established according to a resolution issued on 7/7/1999 by the Board of Trustees to be in charge of research and postgraduate studies affairs in Balqa' Applied University

Vision

A patron for pioneering and distinction of students to help them reach high levels of competition and creativity within their specializations, locally and internationally

Mission

A key provider for the local, regional, and international community of highly qualified and trained academic workforce within high-standard specializations. This can help serve and develop the local community on solid scientific bases, given the information revolution and fast-developing knowledge the world is witnessing.

Aims

Guide graduate students in contributing to local, Arab, and global research projects to address emerging research issues and ensure the sustainability of our national and economic projects.
Encourage graduate students to publish their research in prestigious scientific journals to enhance the university’s reputation.
Attract supporters to establish an endowment fund for graduate studies and create a special fund to assist innovative and needy students.
Promote graduate programs locally, regionally, and globally, and establish partnerships with renowned international universities to develop new graduate programs.
Review and update master’s and higher diploma programs to align with scientific advancements and meet the needs of the job market both locally and internationally.

Accomplishments

Holding open scientific days under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Chairman of the University Board of Trustees during which a some members of the teaching staff and distinguished students are honored.
Holding regular meetings with postgraduate students in various colleges and faculties to maintain contact with them, answer their questions, and be acquainted with the kind of problems they face.
Providing grants to academically distinguished students via The Research Fund as well as sponsoring postgraduate students research projects.
Launching the e-library service through designing a computer program for theses to facilitate the students access and reference to them according to the researcher student's name, supervisor's name, and thesis title
Updating the faculty's webpage where the user easily finds all information needed
