Chemical Engineering Department

The Department of Chemical Engineering was established at Al-Huson University College since the founding of Al-Balqa Applied University. The department comprises a qualified teaching staff of faculty members, engineers, technicians, and laboratory supervisors across various specializations.
The department includes laboratories and workshops equipped with the latest equipment and tools to support its programs. The Department of Chemical Engineering currently offers two programs related to chemical engineering: a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Industries Engineering and a Diploma in Chemical Industries Technology. Both programs aim to qualify students with the ability to apply chemical engineering sciences in both the industrial job market and academia. The focus is on teaching the fundamentals of chemical engineering and its applications across various fields, while equipping students with design and analysis skills. The Bachelor's degree is awarded upon completion of a study plan comprising 162 credit hours, including a field engineering training period of no less than 280 hours. The Intermediate Diploma degree is awarded upon completion of 72 credit hours and successfully passing the comprehensive exam.
Department Vision
To continue providing outstanding education in chemical engineering and advancing the educational process through innovation, community service, and applied scientific research. The Department aims to meet the needs of all sectors requiring expertise in chemical engineering and to ensure the graduation of highly qualified engineers and skilled technicians.
Department Mission
The Department seeks to prepare highly qualified graduates equipped with up-to-date technical knowledge and the essential skills required to work effectively across all fields of chemical engineering, address future challenges, and contribute to community development. This is achieved through fostering strong partnerships with industrial sectors, promoting applied scientific research, and providing a supportive educational environment that enhances professional competence and innovation.
