Educational Sciences

The Department of Educational Sciences performs its educational and behavioral tasks as an important department in Irbid University College, where the department began to present its programs and plans to support the educational process and meet the urgent needs imposed by the nature of the stage. The department has actively contributed to advancing the scientific and educational development at all levels. Vision The department of Educational Sciences strives for excellence and leadership in all educational areas. It seeks to efficiently serve both the students and communityfor building an integrate, human and active personality in all aspects. In addition, the department serves the local and Arab community by offering experiences and distinguished graduates. It is hoped that new graduate programs will be added by the department in the near future. Mission The department of Educational Sciences offers modern and up-to-date educational serviceswhich are committed to the educational standards by utilizing the available human competencies. The department contributes to upgrading the educational process in Jordan by improving the teaching and learning process. This is realized by providing students with practice and theory in their fields of study which helps them compete in labor market. The department prepares, rehabilitates and qualifies the educational staff to become distinguished teachers with special competencies. It also seeks to support scientific research which is based on the needs of the community and international standards of quality. The department hopes to make of the students a successful, professional and educational staff.

Objectives

• Following up all the developments on the level of the educational and teaching process in order to graduate distinguished students who have knowledge and skill needed for work.
• Preparing qualified students who have high professional competence, can compete in labor market and can go further in their education.
• Contributing to community service throughout scientific studies and consultations offered by the academic staff which results in general benefit for all individuals.
• Preparing quality teachers and specialists who can provide quality training and teaching for persons with special needs.
• Implementing scientific researches and studies in all areas of education including vocational education and special education.
• Provision of extension services like consultations to the persons with special needs and their families.
• Raising awareness among community about all types of disabilities and the ways of prevention of disability
• Training students on all modern methods of instruction in all areas and fields and providing students with modern practical exercises to equip children with the needed behavioral and educational concepts.
• Contributing to the understanding of students for the nature of kindergarten curriculum, basics of child activities and new experiences
• Implementing scientific studies and researches in the area of childhood which contribute to the upgrading and development of education.
• Conducting research and studies in the field of childhood in the development of education
