Department of General Surgery

   
The Department of General Surgery includes the following divisions:
  • Division of General Surgery and its subspecialties.
  • Division of Anesthesia and Critical Care and its subspecialties.
  • Division of Emergency Medicine.
The Department includes 14 highly trained specialists and subspecialists in the following:
  • General Surgery:
    • Colon surgery.
    • Plastic and reconstructive surgery.
    • Organ transplantation.
    • Heart surgery.
    • Pediatric surgery.
    • Breast surgery.
    • Thoracic surgery.
  • Anesthesia and critical care.
  • Emergency Medicine.
The Department of General Surgery provides instruction to medical students during their clinical years. Throughout these years, students are educated and trained on how to obtain a medical history, examine the patient, and analyze the clinical data.
This is accomplished through:
  • Lectures.
  • Seminars.
  • Morning reports.
  • Teaching rounds.
  • Group discussions.
The staff work part-time at Al-Hussein 'Al-Salt New' Hospital, providing distinguished medical services to patients, teaching medical students, and conducting scientific research.
Our future vision:
