About the Faculty of Nursing
The Faculty of Nursing is a recent addition to Al-Balqa Applied University, situated in Salt. Established in the 2021/2022 academic year, the faculty was created with two primary objectives: first, to align with the university’s forward-thinking vision of developing applied programs and expanding health sciences education, thereby equipping the local community with highly skilled professionals capable of fulfilling national and humanitarian roles. Second, to train nurses, midwives, and health technicians who are not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply committed, thereby laying a strong foundation for advancing health professions and delivering exceptional care at local, regional, and global levels.
The creation of this college underscores our belief in the strategic importance of nursing and midwifery as vital components of the healthcare system, essential for improving health outcomes and adapting to global advancements in nursing education. Our goal is to prepare professionals who provide evidence-based care, meet the needs of healthcare institutions with high efficiency and quality, and adhere to both local and international standards. Additionally, we aim to develop specialized and graduate programs with distinguished expertise and excellence in the future.
