Dean’s Message

Welcome to Princess Rahma University College where we place our students at the heart of everything. Students will receive an outstanding learning and teaching experience with a distinct emphasis on employability. We prepare our graduates to be professionals and well equipped with the necessary skills in the field of social and educational sciences.
Princess Rahma University College is located in the village of Allan, north of Al-Salt city, 9km away in Balqa Governorate, 35 km west of Amman. The College is surrounded by a number of forests and fruit trees such as the oak and cypress trees. The region is also famous in olive and grape trees, which give the area an aesthetic view.
The College was established in 1965 by the Ministry of Social Affairs, it was found to serve the local community and award diploma degree in Social Services field. In 1980, the College started to award another diploma in Special Education major. In 1997, the College was attached to the Al-Balqa Applied University and started to be known as “Princess Rahma University College”. A number of specializations bachelor degrees were lunched such as Social work, Special Education, and Applied Psychology in addition to higher applied diploma in two majors Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Learning Difficulties. Further, in 2018 the College started to offer new intermediate diploma in measurement and diagnosis ASD.

However, rooted from the College’s policies of serving local and Arab communities, and from the necessity of approved centres and its concern about the diagnosis and assessment of children with disabilities, a Comprehensive Centre for Assessment and Diagnosis (CCAD) is being established inside the college campus. The Establishment of CCAD will contribute to fulfill our university's message and vision of delivering high quality services to the local communities, and equipping specialists worldwide. The CCAD seeks to accurately identify children with disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Difficulties, Intellectual Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, and Vision Impairment.
