Princess Rahma University College / Al-Balqa Applied University established the Department of Crime and Delinquency in 2013, to become the only college among Jordanian universities that awards a bachelor’s degree in Delinquency and Crime.


Department's Vision


Our vision is to be a distinguished department locally and regionally, and the optimal investment of human and financial resources.
The department offers academic courses related to areas of specialization and that prepare students to enter the labor market easily.
The academic courses are designed to provide students with basic knowledge and develop their intellectual capabilities to cope with the rapid developments taking place in the world.
The educational and research activities in the department deal with contemporary national, regional, and international issues.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Crime and Delinquency draws its core principles from Al-Balqa Applied University’s vision by:
  • Improving students’ level of education and upgrading its methods in order to achieve quality as well as the national and international academic accreditation.
  • Developing research capabilities, taking advantage of recent developments, and focusing on local, regional and international issues.
  • Developing the department faculty members’ capabilities
  • Preparing students who are academically and practically qualified to meet the demands of the local and regional labor market.

Objectives

  2. Prepare distinguished students armed with principles and educational rules, in addition to good skills to serve the educational system orientations
  3. Supply the national needs of educational competencies in various fields
  4. Provide the department with qualified faculty members
  5. Improve the educational environment that helps to raise the level of educational attitudes
  6. Design programs and plans to enhance the educational level of our students, and improve their capabilities in accordance of the university competency levels
  7. Enhance the college’s role in serving the local community
