Currently, Technical colleges offer courses that are tailored to the needs of specific industries, information technology, digital and applied science. Also, Technical colleges offer opportunities for career advancement and professional development. Many technical colleges offer continuing education courses and other programs that allow students to stay current in their field and advance their careers. As a result of the vision of Al Balqa Applied University and its strategy to serve the community, Salt Technical College was established in 2018/2019.
Technical colleges play a crucial role in preparing students for jobs in various industries especially in Industry-Relevant Training, skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their chosen field that needed to equip students with practical, hands-on training that is tailored to the needs of specific industries.

Our school is one of the youngest on-campus BAU schools. Teaching at Salt Tech commenced in 2018/2019 with a host of world-class technical and associate diploma degrees including Information and Network Security, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering, Energy Engineering, Roads and Quantities Calculation, Smart Building Engineering, System Architecture, Intelligent Systems Engineering, Water Treatment Engineering, Data science, Graphic design, Interior design and decoration, TV production and directing techniques, Fashion design and clothing production and much more.
Our programs integrate theoretical knowledge and applied training in the work place and range between 2 years for the technical diploma and 3 for the associate. Our close partnerships with the private sector and employers, inspirational teaching and applied training mean that our students graduate with a solid foundation of knowledge and excellent works skills in their chosen fields.
