About the college

The Faculty of Law was established at Al-Balqa Applied University on 28/3/2019 in extension to the creation of the Law Department on 24/7/2013. The college currently includes the Department of Public and Private Law. Graduates from the college are awarded a bachelor degree in Law after successfully completing (141) credit hours. The study plan is designed in a way to prepare graduates armed with legal awareness that enables them to practice legal work in various fields. During their study, students are trained to acquire a proper legal thinking to begin their legal career, raising the banner of truth, justice and equality, and defending just causes in our Jordanian and Arab society. . Our program combines legal knowledge with real-world legal skills to prepare our student for their legal careers. Vision

To be a scientific edifice of creativity, leadership and distinction at the national, regional and international levels, and to occupy a distinguished position at the forefront of Arab law schools through the quality of the academic programs they it offers, and to contribute to community service, preservation of rights among its members, and the service of the legal profession and legal advice, to provide distinctive legal education based on the applied method of legal procedures and their application to various types of disputes, problems and issues.

Mission

The College of Law at Al-Balqa Applied University aims to excel in legal education and learning by preparing students to work in institutions, judicial and legislative bodies and legal departments, and work on community service. Therefore, the college seeks to prepare legal professionals equipped with outstanding theoretical and research skills and prepare a legal generation capable of scientifically and practically work in judicial, legislative, and legal departments, institutions and bodies. Students are trained to link practical reality with theoretical study in all departments of law, consolidate legal culture as a life requirement in society to reinforce the principle of the rule of law, and call upon the legislator to effectively review the legislation to bolster the rule of the state of law and institutions.

Objectives

Promote a culture of rights and raise community awareness of laws and rights.
Prepare qualified graduates, who are equipped with the legal knowledge, professional and needed research skills through implementing applied education in various legal fields that are compatible with accreditation and quality standards.
Meet the needs of the local community and the public and private sectors in terms of devoting legal awareness and preparing proposals and directives on developing laws, through regulations through legal studies and research.
Encourage scientific research and prepare highly qualified graduates equipped with scientific skills in various legal fields such as the judiciary, law, legal advice and various legal professions.
Qualify students scientifically and practically by training them on litigation procedures in the moot court and developing their abilities to solve legal issues and finding alternatives to solve them.
Develop students' intellectual skills in line with local and international standards and raise their awareness of legislative texts and judicial rulings to meet the needs and problems of society.
