Deanship of Scientific Research - Al-Balqa Applied University

The Deanship of Scientific Research used to be part of the College of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies from 1999 till 2007. During that time, BAU took major steps in bolstering a flourishing research environment. This, along with increased funding, growing research proposals and projects, paved the way for the establishment of the College of Scientific Research.
The current faculty commenced work in the first academic semester of 2006/2007. Its main responsibility is facilitating the Scientific Research Council funding decisions via relevant information provision per each research proposal.

To make Al-Balqa Applied University a pioneer in scientific research locally, regionally and internationally through quality control of scientific research and the related procedures, operations, instructions and rules.

Mission

Advancing scientific research through the adoption of creative culture and building necessary skills needed for both staff and students and adopting modern technologies to create advanced working environment necessary for fulfilling the university’s social responsibility

Objectives

The Deanship of Scientific Research is looking forward to achieving the following set of goals:

Improve human knowledge and providing Jordan with the necessary skilled labor.
Establish a scientific research culture both the university and the local community.
Develop and improve research skills necessary for researchers and encouraging them to stay in touch with latest technologies and help them to apply their research for the benefit of social and economic projects in Jordan.
Prepare a research generation in Jordan capable of leading the economic and social change efforts.
