The Center for Innovation, Creativity and Leadership was established by the decision of the University Board of Trustees in December of 2017 to be one of the scientific centers affiliated to the Deanship of Scientific Research and Innovation to assume the following responsibilities:
- Spreading the culture of innovation, creativity and leadership through seminars, courses, conferences and competitions
- Attracting creators, innovators and entrepreneurs.
- Contribute to manage the work of knowledge stations and business incubators in academic colleges that work to provide an incubating environment for creative ideas, develop them and turn them into distinguished products.
- Adopting and developing the outputs of distinguished applied research projects to work on marketing their outputs.
- Manage the relationship with partners to work on marketing creative and innovative products, and attract support for creative and innovative products.
- Follow up the completion of companies and projects generated from knowledge stations and technological business incubators.
- Patent and intellectual property registration management and follow-up.

Employ creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship and sustainable development
Ensuring a stimulating environment to attract creators and innovators, develop and market their products to contribute to the sustainability of the prosperity and development of societies.
- Developing the legislation governing the system of creativity, innovation and leadership in the university, and building auxiliary electronic systems.
- Promoting and spreading the culture of innovation, creativity and leadership among students and university staff and the local community with the aim of attracting creators and innovators and ensuring intellectual property.
- Creating an environment supportive of innovation, creativity and leadership by providing the appropriate infrastructure, developing capabilities, and establishing knowledge stations that adopt talented and creative people.
- Stimulating creativity and innovation by adopting patent registration and participating in international competitions.
- Directing business incubators and building local and international partnerships aimed at developing and supporting creative ideas.
- Marketing creative and innovative products and projects, and outstanding applied research outputs.
