About the Unit
Duties
The unit serves as a means for connecting the center of the university with colleges ( off-campus), other public and private departments and institutions, and bodies. In addition, the unit helps connect internal sections and departments of academic and administrative units together through :
- Providing transportation to academic and administrative staff and students, and connecting the university center with faculties, colleges, ministries, departments, etc.
- Providing internal and external communication among facilities and buildings through developed switchboards.
Providing back-up services to facilities as follows :
- Meals
- Cleaning, sanitation facilities, and garbage removal services
- Furnished classrooms, seminar halls, conference rooms, and auditoriums, and making preparations to reasonably suit holding different activities such as conferences, and official and graduation ceremonies.
Enhancing preserving the university properties by regularly checking facilities needs for maintenance, enhancement, and provision, in coordination with units and sections.
Vehicles maintenance, check-up, and licensing.
Gardens landscaping and gardening, seasonal and forest seedlings preparation and planting, offices and halls landscaping, and internal and external ornamental plants production in the university seedbed for the colleges and faculties provision across the kingdom, as well as the local community in exhibitions at low prices.
Wooden-furniture fabrication and maintenance in the carpentry section for colleges, faculties, units, and sections provision.
