Throughout their bachelor's, master's, and doctoral studies, students may enroll in several mobility programs, provided the total length does not exceed 12 months. A mobility grant for an internship does not preclude the acceptance of a mobility grant for studies. Please refer to the Erasmus+ National Call for Proposals for the relevant academic year for eligibility requirements and grant amounts for students.
In exchange for the courses that the student must take at their higher education institution, the equivalent courses in the institution to which the student will go are determined, and the recognition of the courses taken is enrolled and secured by the Learning Agreement signed between the student, the student's home institution, and the institution to which the student will go prior to the exchange period.
With Erasmus+ Student Learning Mobility, students enrolled in a higher education institution with Erasmus University Charter (EÜB) providing formal education in their country have the opportunity to become exchange students in another third-world country higher education institution for 1 or 2 (between 3 and 12 month) semesters within 1 academic year and to receive financial support for the duration of their stay abroad. The financial assistance will not be refunded, and it is not designed to cover all of the students' expenditures; rather, it is intended to assist with the additional expenses arising from the mobility. Erasmus+ Learning Mobility may be implemented via inter-institutional partnerships. Institutions announce applications to their students in order to identify which Erasmus students will participate in accordance with their agreements. Activities involving mobility may only be conducted amongst Erasmus University Charter holders who have signed agreements with one another. To qualify for Learning Mobility, students must submit an application to the Erasmus Coordinatorships at their home universities and participate in the selection process. Each institution is responsible for determining its own application and election dates. The Centre for European Union Education and Youth Programs establishes the yearly national priorities and eligibility requirements for Erasmus students to be chosen prior to the beginning of their mobility term. The European Union Education and Youth Programs Center determines the selection criteria by which higher education institutions choose their students.
Course names and contents are not expected to be exactly the same, it is sufficient for the course contents to be similar at a high level. It has been undertaken during the application of the Erasmus University Declaration of the higher education institution in which the courses included in the Learning Agreement will be recognized in which the signatures required to be taken by the authorities of the institutions and the departing student have been completed, and in case of violation, the Centre is obliged to report the situation to the European Commission and this may result in the cancellation of the institution's Declaration.
When choosing courses, it is the coordination of the student and his/her home university to target the ECTS credits required for 1 semester or 1 year along with their equivalency. Registration and tuition fees are paid to the institutions where the students are enrolled, and no registration or tuition fees are paid to the host institution. However, the destination institution may also request small payments from Erasmus students such as sports facilities, and transportation fees.

  • The recommended language level is subjected to an agreement and requirements between the sending institution and the hosting institution per case.
