About
Karak University College was established on October 1, 1979, as a Teachers’ Institute with specific objectives under the Ministry of Education.
It was initially an institution for preparing qualified human resources to work in the teaching profession, offering diploma degrees with both academic and vocational specializations. In 1997, the late King Hussein, may he rest in peace, issued a royal decree establishing Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), which took over the supervision of community colleges across the kingdom, including Karak College (as a university college). The college then embarked on a path of development, following the strategic goals of the university, particularly in vocational and applied fields, in line with the needs and demands of the times. This development included upgrading and training the working human resources to ensure that the outputs meet aspirations and expectations.
