The department of International Students` Affairs was established with the aim of taking care of the affairs of international students at Al-Balqa Applied University. The department follows up the international students` affairs from the time of their admission to the university until their graduation. This provides them with the appropriate academic, social, and cultural environment which not only helps them academically but also provides them with good knowledge about the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan through introductory visits to the institutions and commissions, and through recreational trips to the Jordanian touristic sties. Also, the department monitors international students’ academic progress and facilitating their admission and registration procedures in cooperation with the different departments and units in the university. Also, it organizes regular meetings with the president of the university, deans, and directors of the departments. Moreover, this department organizes recreational activities for the university students to integrate the international students with each other, on the one hand, and with the Jordanian students on the other through setting up social and cultural exchange programs. The department of international students’` affairs is also responsible for organizing activities that help integrate the students into the local community which enriches their knowledge by getting to know the cultures and traditions of other students. Finally, the department organizes educational lecture and forums for the international students that make their life in the Kingdom easy.
