Visa and Residency
We kindly remind you that there are specific procedures for anyone who wishes to stay in Jordan. The department of International Students` Affair is a facilitator with this respect.
Entry Visa Requirements:
- A photocopy of a valid passport
- Proof of enrollment certificate from the university
- Permanent and temporary address
- Copy of the residency in the residency country (for those who do not reside in their home country)
Annual Residency:
Foreign students must have valid “residency”. To enter Jordan, you must have an entry visa except students from Arab Gulf countries, Egypt, and Syria. Students from these countries must approve their residency place inside the Kingdom by visiting the nearest police station.
Residency (for the first time) Requirements
- A photocopy of a valid passport, the pages including: (information page, last entry to Jordan page, the page locating the place of housing for a period of no less than 6 months)
- Locating the place of housing and fingerprint on the passport in the nearest police station
- Proof of enrollment certificate accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education
- A letter from the University`s presidency to the concerned ministry
- Two personal photos
- A photocopy of the residency from the country of residence, no less than one year for the nationalities residing outside their home country
Residency Renewal Requirements
All the above mentioned requirements.
What you must do when you graduate
- Go the police station to pay and obtain a clearance certificate.
- Obtain a clearance certificate from the university.
