Outdoor activities offer a vibrant and immersive experience for non-native speakers, providing them with the opportunity to not only master the Arabic language but also to delve deeply into the rich cultural tapestry of Arabic-speaking regions. Here are some engaging outdoor activities offered by BAULC, specifically tailored for Arabic language learners:




  • Market Exploration
    • Activity: Visiting downtown Amman where students must navigate through the stalls, interact with vendors, and purchase items using Arabic. This provides real-world practice with numbers, bargaining, and everyday conversational phrases.
    • Language Focus: Vocabulary related to shopping, food, and common phrases for negotiation.
    • Cultural Exposure: Understanding the local culture of trade and communication styles.
  • Guided City Tour
    • Activity: Organizing a guided tour of a historic city (Madaba, Salt, Jarash, or Ajloun), where students learn about the landmarks in Arabic. They can practice listening comprehension and ask questions to the guide in Arabic.
    • Language Focus: Vocabulary related to history, architecture, and geography.
