Welcome to Council secretariat

Established in 1997, the Department of the Secretariat of the Councils has been instrumental in supporting the university’s governance framework. Operating in alignment with the university’s laws, regulations, and instructions, the department manages the tasks of the following governance councils:

The Board of Trustees and its committees.
The University Council.
The Council of Deans.
The Appointment and Promotion Committee, derived from the Council of Deans.

The department is responsible for organizing meetings for these governing bodies and their committees. This includes preparing agendas, drafting minutes of meetings, recording decisions, and generating reports on the councils’ achievements to be shared with relevant authorities.
Committed to excellence, the department utilizes the latest technological, administrative, and organizational advancements. This approach ensures that its operations are in line with the university’s mission and objectives, reflecting the higher education philosophy endorsed by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein. The department aims to enhance the quality and effectiveness of higher education in Jordan, in alignment with the royal vision for educational development.
