The Department of Educational Sciences
This department was established in the year (2003/2004), with the bachelor degree and diploma in child education, in order to meet the demands of the Jordanian society for female teachers who are equipped with the new developments in this field. The university has created this department in order to provide the Ministry of Education with comprehensive and qualified educational personnel who teach at the kindergarten and elementary levels.
The diploma grogram in vocational education was created to perform its educational mission and goals as an important department of the faculty. The department started offering its programs and plans to support the educational process and to meet the pressing needs which arose in the years 2014/2015. The department had its active contribution in the scientific and educational developments at all levels.

Vision
The department’s vision is based on the faith in the importance of providing students with high-quality programs, in an age of fast technological advances, which gives them a comprehensive knowledge that enables them to become active members in society. The department hopes to be a pioneer on the local, regional, and global levels in preparing human resources who are specialized academically, educationally and vocationally, which would develop the educational services and advices presented to children and contribute in serving society.
Mission
The department employs highly-qualified professors who work to provide students with thinking, analytical skills, and applied skills, and to urge their self-education utilizing the various educational resources which the college makes available.
Objectives
Our objectives are to:
- Encouraging scientific research and preparing the specialized studies about issues which concern the department, the faculty, professors, and students.
- Participating in local, regional and international symposiums and conferences, and organizing such conferences and participating in the committees which come out of them
- Developing study plans of the college in accordance with the requirements of the time and the new developments in technology and teaching methods.
- Creating new majors in light of the needs of the society and the region and job market.
- Training students of the department, through university-required courses, on the basic skills in English and Arabic in their study fields, and broadening their awareness of the importance of their role in developing society and solving its problems.
- Getting students to understand the nature of kindergarten curricula, the basics of child activity, and the new experiences.
- Training students on the modern teaching skills in the field of vocational education and providing the practical training in order to provide students with the theoretical and practical bases and the necessary educational and behavioral concepts
