With profound sadness and grief, Dr. Umayya Toukan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Balqa Applied University, along with the board members and the university’s President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fakhri Al-Ajlouni, mourn the loss of the esteemed national figure and former Prime Minister, His Excellency Mr. Zaid Al-Rifai. Mr. Al-Rifai passed away on Monday, (Aug. 14) leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to our Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, its essential causes, and the Hashemite family with unwavering sincerity.

The Board of Trustees extends its deepest condolences to the family of the late Mr. Zaid Al-Rifai and to His Excellency Mr. Samir Zaid Al-Rifai. We pray that Almighty Allah grants him His boundless mercy and grants his family strength and comfort during this difficult time.
