Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) is promoting integrated approaches to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
and Paris Agreement on Climate Change,
through policies, plans, education, research, and global cooperation, so it is keen on refining students with the skills of cooperation and participatory wor WebForm1 k, in addition of working to build students’ capabilities and skills in the field of active political participation, social work, and youth empowerment, and training them to understand how to identify and address issues of sustainable development and contribute to the prosperity and development of societies, through supporting relevant student clubs and associations.
Moreover, local community development is one of the three aims BAU, in addition to teaching and scientific research.
BAU’s population aware the essential role of the university, so they are enhancing outreach working directly with the communities, and pushing the students to adopt sustainability in their lives, BAU implements that through the faculties, Students Affairs Deanship, Local Community Development Unit, Local Community Development Unit, and
scientific centers by supporting all initiatives and student’s organizations related to sustainability that produced several activities especially considering the global trends to work towards reducing climate change impact, achieving food security, and fighting poverty through many activities and events that were implemented inside and outside the university campus.
