BAU- 3rd International Oil Shale Conference

Al-Balqa Applied University, along with the oil shale companies operating in Jordan, will host the 3rd BAU international oil shale conference (BAU-OSC-3) in the premises of the university in As-Salt city, north-west of Amman during 17 – 19 October 2023

The conference will review developments and updates in oil shale technologies and provide researchers worldwide, a platform for the advancement and progress achieved since the last conference held. International participants will have a closer look on oil shale ongoing projects in Jordan.

The conference will consist of a broad overview through plenary lectures given by experts in the fields. The conference provides a platform for researchers, industrialists, decision makers and business to interact during the three days of activities.

In the fourth day of the conference, willing participants (optional) will pay a visit to the ongoing Attarat Power Company in Attarat Um-Ghudran, the location of first Jordanian power plant operating on oil shale combustion.
