Welcome to the College of Agriculture Technology at Al-Balqa Applied University. The college continued its development over the years to keep pace with Jordan’s fluctuating needs to focus on protecting natural and environmental resources in order to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development. The college includes four academic departments: Plant Production and Protection, Water Resources Management and Environment, Biotechnology, and Nutrition and Food Processing.
The programs offered by these departments help students achieve their academic and professional goals and prepare them for many career opportunities. The college’s faculty members work hard to meet students’ aspirations and help them achieve their future career goals. A large percentage of the faculty members conduct scientific research projects that either receive internal fund from the university or external fund from local or international.
The faculty members at the college claim their full responsibility to deliver and transfer knowledge to produce outstanding and productive students who are able to provide the Jordanian agricultural sector with distinguished experiences.

The college has an agricultural research station, about 20 km from the university center. It is located at an altitude of 200 meters below sea level, along the King Abdullah Canal, to a height of 400 meters above sea level. The most important feature of this plant is that it has a distinct ecosystem and plant cover. In addition, the college has established the International Center for Water, Environment and Energy Research to contribute to preserving natural resources in Jordan through research, education and training.
