Coastal Environmental and Socioeconomic Monitoring at Aqaba, Jordan. Funded by the World Bank

This is a consultancy assignment carried out by IRCWEE for the Regional Organization for the Conservation of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden and aims at surveying/studying a number of marine parameters in Aqaba including coral reef, fish community and seawater quality.

The objective of the project are as follows:

• Studying the impact of diving activities on coral reef
• Monitoring seawater quality
• Studying and monitoring fish community

The target groups are dive centers, fishermen and boatersand the findings of the work could be used by decision makers in Aqaba in planning.
