German Language Proficiency Levels According to the CEFR Framework
At the Language Center, we offer German courses structured according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), with each level comprising 30 hours over one month:
(Duration varies from one week to one month, depending on your availability):
This beginner level focuses on helping learners understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases. By the end of the course, students will be able to introduce themselves, ask and answer simple questions about personal details, and engage in basic interactions if the conversation partner speaks slowly and clearly.
A2 (Elementary) - 30 Hours
(Duration varies from one week to one month, depending on your availability):
At the A2 level, learners will build on their foundational skills, enabling them to understand sentences and commonly used expressions related to areas of immediate relevance, such as personal and family information, shopping, and employment. They will be able to handle simple, routine tasks that involve a direct exchange of information on familiar matters.
B1 (Intermediate) - 30 Hours
((Duration varies from one week to one month, depending on your availability):
This level helps learners understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar topics encountered in work, school, and leisure. Students will gain the ability to manage most situations that may arise while traveling in German-speaking regions and produce simple, connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
B2 (Upper Intermediate) - 30 Hours
(Duration varies from one week to one month, depending on your availability):
At the B2 level, learners will be able to understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. They will be able to interact with native speakers with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction possible without strain and will learn to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects.
(Duration varies from one week to one month, depending on your availability):
This advanced level is designed to enable learners to understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. They will be able to express ideas fluently and spontaneously, making effective use of the language in social, academic, and professional contexts. The course will also focus on producing clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, with controlled use of organizational patterns and cohesive devices.
