Professor of Management Information Systems at Jordan's Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), with over 20 years of academic, administrative, and technical experience and a strong interest in educational quality assurance. He is currently the Vice President for Quality Assurance and Center Affairs at the university. He received his BSc and MBA from the University of Jordan and his PhD in information systems from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Prior to his appointment as the Vice President of BAU, Prof. Alshibly spent more than 15 years in senior higher education institution management roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Business (2016?2020), Vice President and Dean of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College of Business (TAG-UCB) in Bahrain (2016?2016), Acting Dean of Amman University College for Financial and Administrative Sciences (2012?2016), and Director of the Development and Quality Assurance Centre at BAU (2008?2012). From 2012 to 2016, he was a board member of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education Institutions Council and chaired various committees on quality assurance in higher education.
He is actively involved in research related to electronic human resource systems, customer empowerment, e-commerce, s-commerce, e-government, e-marketing, decision support systems, and EDMS evaluation and deployment. He has published over 50 publications, including books, book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers.
