Dr. Amaal Rateb Shorman holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization on the Internet of Things from The University of Jordan (2022). She also earned a master's degree from New Mexico State University, USA (2012), and a bachelor's degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan (2006). Dr. Shorman has served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at New Mexico State University and is currently an Assistant Professor at Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan, having previously held the same position at Jadara University, Jordan.
Her research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things, Security, and Cybersecurity. Dr. Shorman has made significant contributions to these fields through her publications in esteemed journals and conference proceedings. She has been recognized for her academic excellence, receiving the Academic Excellence Scholarship for the highest GPA in her Ph.D. program at The University of Jordan and the Top Tawjihi Student at Brigade Level Scholarship for achieving the highest Tawjihi average score at Al Mazar brigade level.
