Dr. Ashraf Bani Ahmad is a dedicated researcher and educator with expertise in power electronics and energy systems. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics and Devices from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), his research focuses on battery energy storage systems, renewable energy, and electric vehicles. His doctoral work introduced innovative strategies for optimal cell utilization and state-of-charge balancing in grid-scale battery energy storage systems using advanced modular converter topologies.
With almost two years of academic experience as a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor equivalent) at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Dr. Ashraf has taught courses in power electronics and mentored students on cutting-edge projects related to energy storage and battery management systems. His industrial background spans more than three years, involving the design and implementation of electrical systems, project management, and system integration.
An accomplished author, Dr. Ashraf has published extensively in Q1-ranked journals, contributing significant advancements to energy conversion, battery balancing, and power systems optimization. His technical skills include proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, AutoCAD, PSpice, and embedded systems, along with expertise in modern teaching methods and high-impact research dissemination.
