My research over the last twelve years has focused on the fate, behavior, and potential risk of persistent organic pollutants POPs in the environment including; polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polychlorinated phenols (PCPs), chlorinated pesticides (CPs), polychlorinated dioxins, and furans (PCCD/F), and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). In addition, I work on the development of instrumental and analytical methods for different sample matrices such as semi-volatile organic pollutants and biological samples using advanced chromatography technologies. I have been working on different chromatographic techniques such as GPC, GC/MS, GC/ECD/FID, and HPLC with different detectors. Furthermore, using Atomic Absorption (AAs) coupled either with Graphite Furnace (AA-GF) or Hydride Generator (AAHG) techniques in the Investigation of trace metals and optimization of analytical methods.
