Firas Gandah holds the position of Assistant Professor of Architecture at Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Universit? degli Studi di Palermo in 1990, followed by a PhD in Architecture from La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, in 1997. The focus of his doctoral dissertation was the exploration of methodologies for translating identified values, extracted from architectural constraints, into actionable resources, particularly pertinent to sites of considerable archaeological significance.
Accruing a substantial professional tenure spanning 35 years within the Italian architectural milieu, Gandah has cultivated a rich reservoir of experience. Demonstrating his administrative acumen, he has twice held the pivotal position of Department Head of Architecture at Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan.
Beyond his administrative roles, Gandah has contributed significantly to the academic discourse through his prolific publication record. His research agenda encompasses diverse themes such as ideological underpinnings of architecture, architectural design paradigms, urban planning dynamics, heritage conservation strategies, and architectural history. His scholarly endeavors serve as a catalyst for advancing scholarly inquiry and discourse within the discipline of architecture.
