Dr. Hazem Al-Najjar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Al-Balqa Applied University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2018 with honors, where his research focused on distributed computing and job scheduling algorithms for grid environments
Dr. Al-Najjar has over 12 years of academic and research experience across several international institutions, including the University of Petra, Istanbul Gelisim University, Luminus University College, Nizwa University, Jouf University, Misurata University, and Taibah University
. His multidisciplinary expertise spans Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Image Processing, Bioinformatics, and Wireless Sensor Networks.
He has co-authored more than 35 peer-reviewed papers published in leading ISI and Scopus-indexed journals, covering topics such as AI applications, smart-grid scheduling, image encryption, and intelligent financial analytics
Beyond his research output, Dr. Al-Najjar has contributed significantly to academic program development, including the establishment of cybersecurity and network engineering departments at Misurata University (Libya) and Nizwa University (Oman)
. He also serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several international journals and conferences in AI, computing, and information systems.
Driven by his passion for innovation and applied research, Dr. Al-Najjar continues to explore cutting-edge applications of AI and data science for solving real-world challenges in digital analytics, sustainable technologies, and intelligent systems.
