Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mousa Awad Al-Sweilemyeen is a distinguished professor specializing in international law and holds Jordanian nationality. He was born in Amman in 1965, is married, and resides in the Shafa Badran area ? University Neighborhood. He earned his Ph.D. in International Law from Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv in 1998, graduating with a very good grade. His dissertation was titled, "International Law as a Principle for Organizing the International Legal System." Additionally, he obtained a bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science from the National School of Public Administration in Rabat, Morocco, in 1991, also with a very good grade.
Prof. Al-Sweilemyeen has held numerous prominent academic and administrative positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Law at Al-Balqa Applied University, Dean of Princess Alia University College, and Dean of Princess Rahma University College. He has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University and as Director of the Legal Affairs Department at Al-Balqa Applied University.
With extensive experience in academic research, Prof. Al-Sweilemyeen has published numerous studies in international and humanitarian law, labor law, arbitration, and human rights issues. He has also actively participated in national and international scientific conferences and supervised the discussion of graduate theses on contemporary topics such as international terrorism and decentralization.
Prof. Al-Sweilemyeen has a particular interest in the relationship between law and other disciplines, including sociology, history, and Islamic jurisprudence. He has published research that integrates law with various other topics and contributed to authoring academic books, such as "Principles of Planning."
His academic journey is characterized by its diversity and the depth of his contributions to advancing legal thought and promoting scientific research. This makes him one of the most prominent figures in international law at both the local and regional levels.
