Prof. Mizyed Abdelfattah Ahmad Hyassat
|

|
Prof. Mizyed Hyassat is a distinguished scholar and committed researcher in the field of Special Education. His academic and professional interests centre on parents of children with disabilities, inclusive education, and autism spectrum disorder. Over the course of his career, he has gained substantial practical expertise in teaching and training children with intellectual disabilities, hearing impairments, and autism spectrum disorder, through extensive work both in Jordan and internationally. Prof. Hyassat has held several key academic leadership positions. He has served as Supervisor of the Field Training Program, Chair of the Department of Special Education, Vice Dean, and ultimately Dean of Princess Rahma University College.

Dr. Hyassat holds three academic degrees in the field of Special Education: a Bachelor?s and a Master?s degree from the University of Jordan, and a Ph.D. from Swansea University in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in the field of Special Education, having begun his professional career as a teacher for children with intellectual and hearing disabilities, learning difficulties, as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder, both in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
He subsequently served as a field training supervisor for undergraduate students in Special Education for five years, after which he worked as a lecturer, then advanced to assistant professor, associate professor, and eventually full professor in the Department of Special Education at Al-Balqa Applied University and the University of Tabuk.
Dr. Hyassat also held several administrative positions, serving as Dean of Princess Rahma University College for two years, following his tenure as Vice Dean, and prior to that, as Head of the Department of Special Education. He has authored and published a number of scientific research papers in international, regional, and local academic journals.
