I am Prof. Mansour M. Nawasreh. I completed my bachelor degree from Yarmouk University, majoring in chemistry in 1989, then the master degree from the University of Jordan in 1995 in organic chemistry. Thesis, Chemical and Biological Study of Jordanian Medicinal Plants. Then, I obtained the Ph.D. from Hanover University - Germany in 2000 with DAAD scholarship. Thesis, Stereoselective Synthesis of Cephalostatin Analogues as anti-Cancer Agents. I start working in JUST as lecturer through 2001-2003. I was appointed at Al-Balqa Applied University in 2003, and I am still until now, through in, I appointed as a Head of Basic Sciences Dept. in 2005/2006. I ranked associate professor in 2011 and professorship in 2022. My scientific research interests include: Preparing compounds with anti-cancer activity derived from marine natural products, conducting chemical and biological studies of important medicinal plants, invention of new and green methods for the reactions such as oxidation/epoxidation and chlorination reactions, and finally the use of some plants in the treatment of waste water contaminated with heavy metals. I have also reviewed several research papers in various international journals in the field of organic chemistry and applied chemistry. Moreover, I got a sabbatical year at the University of Jordan in 2015-2016. Through my academic life, I attended more than fifteen specialized international scientific conferences, especially the Molecular Therapeutics of Cancer Conference - New Hampshire - USA in 2005, and the same conference at the University of Oxford - UK in 2006. I published more than 30 papers, whether in prestigious international journals or conference proceedings. I taught various courses such as organic chemistry 1 and 2 and general chemistry. In addition, I supervised jointly with other colleagues several master's theses and graduation projects. Also, I was a member of discussion committees for master's theses.
