Dr. Bassem Al-Hamouri was born in Jordan in 1960, and obtained a bachelor's degree in economics and computer science from Yarmouk University -Jordan in 1984, and received a full scholarship to study a doctorate in economics and finance from University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA , in 1992.
He worked as an expert and researcher in several research centers and as a lecturer during the period 1987-1992 at the University of Utah, USA. In 1993 he joined the Department of Finance at Philadelphia University, and in 1995 he joined the Department of Economics and Finance at the Hashemite University.
In 2001, he enrolled in the Department of Finance, Al-Balqa Applied University.
His current research interests include: environmental economics, feasibility studies, financial markets, investments, economic development, and others related to the field of economics and finance.
