Dr. Abushgair has more than 20 years of research and development in fields of nanotechnology and nanomaterials especially deposition of thin films coating for different application such as mechanical, electrical and solar cells. The resultant films of his work were implemented in many applications such as hard coating for mechanical cutting tools, wear resistance applications, solar cell devices,. A specific material coating which we produce can be used to enhance the performance not only of solar cells but also bring new systems working on solar energy with high efficiency. He worked on developing new methods to produce high efficiency solar Cells, the new methods focus on producing silicon nanowires and studying photovoltaic properties of single silicon nanowire which can be used in different industrial applications. and materials, implementation of nanotechnology in renewable energy applications. So far, he has published more than 20 articles in well-recognized journals and conference proceedings with co-authors from USA, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Dr. Abushgair has established collaborative research projects with colleagues from Technical university Kaiserslautern, Ulm University
