Dr. Ahmad Shatnawi is an academic and researcher in financial accounting with extensive experience in university teaching, research, and academic supervision across Jordanian and international institutions. He holds a PhD in Financial Accounting from Queensland University of Technology (Australia), awarded through a competitive Commonwealth-funded research scholarship, in addition to an MSc and BSc in Accounting from leading Jordanian universities.
Dr. Shatnawi has served as an Assistant Professor at several universities, including Al-Balqa Applied University, Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, and Applied Science Private University. His international academic experience includes serving as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Queensland University of Technology, where he contributed to high-quality research, academic seminars, and postgraduate training.
His research interests span a wide range of contemporary accounting topics, including corporate governance, board diversity, CSR and ESG practices, accounting conservatism, earnings management, blockchain applications in accounting, artificial intelligence in auditing, and financial reporting quality. He has published in several reputable international journals and participated in multiple global conferences and doctoral symposia in Australia and Europe.
Dr. Shatnawi also possesses strong technical and analytical skills in statistical software such as SPSS, AMOS, and STATA, alongside advanced competency in accounting information systems and Microsoft applications. His experience in curriculum design, instructional technologies, and academic development further strengthens his contribution to the accounting education field.
