I have strong interest in the theory of cold atoms, Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC), superfluidity, and the static and dynamic properties of trapped Bose gases. I simulate these systems under various confining conditions. For this purpose, numerical methods are used such as the worm-algorithm Quantum Monte Carlo technique (WAPIMC) and the Crank-Nicolson (CN) method. Recently, I also started to apply Cederbaum's Multi Configurational Time-Dependent Hartree Method for Bosons (MCTDHB) [Alon et. al., Phys. Rev. A 77 033613 (2008)] in order to examine beyond mean-field effects, such as the dynamics of the condensate fraction and higher-orbital occupations. We also examine liquid He4 adsorbed on a substrate, such as graphite, also using the WAPIMC method. Trapped BECs are studied via the time-dependent mean-field Gross-Pitaevskii equation. For this purpose specific codes are applied that have been developed by the group of Antun Balaz at the Scientific Computing Laboratory of the Institute of Physics in Serbia, Belgrade.

Research Intersets:
Strong interest in the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensation in traps at ultracold temperatures. Further interest is in the structure and properties of He4 adsorbed on a graphite substrate.
