OverView
Loss reduction levels in the distribution systems result in higher distribution efficiency. However, system efficiency improvement must be evaluated in economic terms, taking into account the investment required and the benefits. It would be almost impossible to establish just how far loss reduction in the system should be achieved due to the large number of facilities. Studies on system loss reduction in practice are usually carried out only on the target heavy load feeders. In this thesis, the effect of optimizing a number of measures for loss reduction will be examined on the target feeders selected, based on high loss rates, high voltage drops, and heavy loads
