I have been working as an Assistant Professor at Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan since 2024, in the Department of Medical Laboratories within the Faculty of Medical Sciences. My research focuses on investigating the molecular pathways associated with cancer, particularly the impact of nanoparticles, such as silver nanoparticles, on key biological pathways like MAPK and PI3K. I have a specific interest in regulating miRNA gene expression in cancer patients and studying the effects of hormones and chemotherapy on these genes.

I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Jordan in 2018, where my dissertation focused on evaluating the pancreatic and antioxidative effects of selected branched amino acids and fatty acids in vivo and in vitro. I also obtained a Master?s degree in Biological Sciences from Mutah University, where my thesis investigated the ability of Moraxella lincolnii bacteria to degrade 3,4-dichlorobenzoic acid under optimal growth conditions.

I have extensive practical experience in laboratory techniques such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR), gel electrophoresis, genetic analysis, and flow cytometry. Additionally, I possess advanced skills in statistical analysis using software like SPSS and GraphPad Prism, which enables me to design and analyze advanced laboratory experiments.

I teach a range of university courses for undergraduate and graduate students, including clinical biochemistry, molecular biology, pathology, and histology. I have also supervised several Master?s theses on topics such as the effect of marine sponge extracts on cancer cells, the impact of nanoparticles on bacteria and cancer cells, and the study of genes associated with chronic diseases such as diabetes and liver disease.

Research Intersets:
My interests focus on the molecular pathways of cancer and the impact of nanoparticles on critical cellular pathways such as MAPK and PI3K in different types of cancer.
My secondary area of interest revolves around the regulation of miRNA expression in cancer patients, with a specific emphasis on the effects of hormones and chemotherapy.
