My research focuses on the blood brain barrier (BBB) following different neurological diseases, including traumatic brain injury (TBI). I am investigating the initiation, propagation and mechanism of spreading depolarization (SD) following traumatic brain injury and its relationship to seizure, post-traumatic epilepsy, and sudden catastrophic death following TBI
