He was born in the town of Barqa, Nablus, in 1960. He completed his secondary education in the town of Al-Sarih in 1978. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Nagpur University, India, in 1983. Later, he obtained a Master's degree in English Literature from Kashmir University, India, in 1986. He began working at the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education as an English language and literature teacher in 1987, where he served until 2008. Since 2008, he has been teaching English language and literature at Al-Balqa Applied University.
