Dr. Yazun Bashir Jarrar is a pharmacologist with a passion for advancing the field of pharmacogenetics and personalized medicine. His research interests lie in unraveling the complexities of drug metabolizing enzymes through pharmacogenomics, contributing to a better understanding of individualized drug responses. Driven by a commitment to academic excellence, he has received numerous honors, including the Best Abstract at the Golden Helix Symposia and the First Prize for superior oral presentation at Inje University. Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Jarrar actively engages in teaching a range of courses, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. As a supervisor for graduate research, he has overseen diverse projects exploring genetic variations, drug effects, and the intricacies of gene expression. Dr. Jarrar's commitment to advancing scientific knowledge is further demonstrated by his involvement in organizing international conferences and scientific meetings. Through grants and research projects, he continues to explore critical areas such as cardiotoxicity mechanisms, DNA methylation in breast cancer, and the impact of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on gene expression.
